This lunch break was different. Instead of the usual routine, students at Manual Arts High School were surprised with a special Earth Day celebration. The event, held during lunchtime, offered activities, prizes, and free items that caught the attention of many.

Students participated in educational games focused on environmental topics. Those who answered correctly or completed the challenges won cupcakes as prizes. There were also free plants in recycled pots, secondhand clothes, fruits, and vegetables available for everyone.
The event was not only a chance to have fun, but also to reflect on how we can care for the planet and reduce waste in simple ways.

“I liked that they gave out useful stuff and the games were about the environment,” said an 11th-grade student. “It was a nice way to do something different during lunch.”
This activity showed that with creativity and teamwork, it’s possible to organize events that bring together environmental awareness and student participation.
