On February 20, 2025, there was a field trip to LACC. The Visit was mainly for students to learn about the different pathways that are available. The trip was with the GEAR UP team along with a few representatives from LACC to talk about pathways like nursing, music, theater, radiology and dental technology. The trip was from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM which meant the students were out the entire school day. The students were able to get presentations from current students and learn more about the school culture.

The students were able to obtain information regarding the different pathways they can choose from, they were encouraged to ask questions. There were different counselors explaining the different groups and programs that are available for new and current students. The students were able to see different points of view from students who are graduating, giving tips for new students and explaining how some of them were transferring and going to LACC made it easier to get accepted. The students were given food during lunch time provided by LACC staff, and were able to go out and explore the campus before going back to school. Overall the students obtain a lot of information from different pathways to choose from and were encouraged to form part of LACC.
