On Monday February 4, 2025, students  all around California decided to not go to school to show how much immigrants matter .  On Tuesday February 5 2025, students from LAUSD schools started protesting. Groups of students from LAUSD schools walked out of school to demonstrate resistance. Several hundred students from multiple high schools across Los Angeles organized a walkout to protest against aggressive immigration policies enacted by the Trump administration. Students started waved Mexican flags and held signs reading “Mis padres no son criminales por querer darnos una vida mejor”(My parents aren’t criminals for wanting to give us a better life).

Overall the protest that the students have been participating in have been peaceful. This illustrates to that the  walkouts are for a good cause. Several High schools have decided to keep on having walkouts throughout the entire week at different times. Many of these schools have been heading to City Hall and staying there to keep protesting. There have been reports of fake ice agents approaching the students trying to generate fear for them to not protest. Some of LAUSD schools have planned to have a major walkout protest on Friday 07, 2025 , according to local news.
