On Saturday May 25th, 2024, Manual Arts held its Senior Prom at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel located in downtown Los Angeles. It was a night to remember. Ladies Toilers spent the day getting their professional makeup, hair, and nails done while the Toiler boys picked their outfit and got a stylish haircut. Everyone felt confident and stunning showing off their dresses, and suits. There were many different varieties in appearances, styles, and colors that represented their personalities. Seniors arrived at the event in fancy cars, and other types of transportation such as party buses, limos, or luxury cars. The celebration started at 7 p.m. with lots of laughter, photoshoots, dancing, food, and just enjoyment with partners or friends. No matter how the night ended it was a night to remember. Whether you went with a big group or just a friend, it wasn’t about how many people you went with or who dressed the fanciest, it was just about the fun everyone experienced in this one-time opportunity. Seniors had been anticipating the event for months .“I was looking forward to prom because it’s such a memorable night, and it is really a high school milestone. I also love dancing, because I always have a lot of fun at school dances,” a senior said. Most students bought their attire three weeks prior to the event and were excited to showcase them. There was food, dessert and lots of refreshments for toiler seniors all night long. “The venue was nice, and I think it superseded my expectations as I hadn’t really seen many pictures of it, a senior said. The vibe was very formal and bougee, and I think it was worth my time, preparation and money.” A senior stated. Most students, along with most of the participants, were glad that Prom gave them an opportunity to dress up nicely and just have fun after a stressful school year. “I loved being with my friends who made it a night to remember” , a senior said.
