On Friday, January 26th the “Toilers Have Heart” initiative catered an event in conjunction with Culinary Arts students giving away free tacos to students with a high GPA. The event took place in the senior quad during lunchtime. Culinary students spent the majority of the week leading up to the event preparing as many as 2,000+ tacos for 600+ students who received achievement awards. This event was thank you to all of our students who have maintained amazing grades. On Monday January 22nd, here at Manual Arts an award ceremony was held to commemorate SLC students in Smart, Best, Magnet and FPA for earning a high GPA and for good attendance. Each SLC held separate awards ceremonies in the auditorium and Big Gym where certificates of recognition were issued by the principal and SLC counselors.
