Recruitment efforts pay off as a result of work done over the summer. Because we got a head in increasing student enrollment in the summer of 2023 for this Fall Norm Day and Ms. Gutierrez recruited some Obama students to MAHS, our eCAST for the 24-25 SY increased by approximately 15% which is perfect timing because the State is in a budget deficit, ESSER funds have sunset, and we are expected to have less monies coming in…so more students helps curve the potential impact to our budgets for next school year. This is good!! Also, a big round of applause to Ms. Lahaise and Mr. Harris who year after year maximize Magnet’s student enrollment. Although, I believe, the count for next school year is off by 1, a student by the name of Milan Macias just enrolled for the 9th grade.
