On September 11, 2023, Manual Arts Girls Varsity Volleyball defeated LA High in a game that took place in the gym at Manual Arts. The final score was 3 to 1. Manual Arts lost the first set (13-25) and ended up redeeming themselves in the last 3 sets during the second set (25-22), second set (25-19), and fourth set (25-19). The Manual Arts team felt it was a great redemption against LA High’s team after the first set. A couple of players who stood out and made terrific plays defending and attacking LA High’s team. Varsity member (Hanae) #9 in blocking LA High’s attacks to score, Varsity member (Delaya) #11 tipping the ball over, and Varsity member (Ruby) #1 striking the ball over the net to the other teams side.
