Back to School Night took place on Wednesday, August 30th 2023, from 5pm to 7pm at Manual Arts High School and was a huge success. Many students and parents turned out to meet teachers.  According to research, across the country , a large majority of school districts designated one night for parents  to connect with the different teachers, aids , and administrators within their child’s school. It is typically offered in public schools during the Fall semester at the beginning of the school year.

On this night, parents and teachers meet to become familiar with the  classroom setting. Teachers take the opportunity to explain the course curriculum and learning objectives . They may also discuss their teaching style, methodology , how they grade , the materials or supplies needed, and any upcoming projects. For parents its an opportunity to ask questions about expectation, class rules and exchange contact information.
