In February 2020-21, the LAUSD Board of Education approved The Black Student Achievement Plan (BSAP). The BSAP addresses the need for culturally responsive curriculum and instruction as the classroom norm. Fun Friday is where everyone meets in the senior quad to engage in fun activities. Students talk about things everyone can relate to. They host games and do activities like golf, basketball and play golf. It is an opportunity for students to come together and collaborate on academic and social issues. The students and teachers engage to celebrate the students achievements and their progress in the classrooms, Mr. Pounders said.
