Club Rush took place on August 25th at Manual Arts High School during lunchtime. It was a huge success. Various clubs were in attendance playing music, serving food, and recruiting new members. Student and adult club leaders were present at their booths providing individuals with resources that meet their academic, career, and social interest. Club Rush takes place at the beginning of every school year typically in August.
According to LAUSD’s Policy Publication#465 covering student body policies, Club Rush is an opportunity for students to get involve with the cultural aspect high school. It’s main purpose is to promote community amongst students which allows for student leadership and moderation (with adult/teacher guidance). It’s an opportunity for the entire student body, to come together, and discuss common interest as well form club rules, create a club constitution , and plan activities for the whole school year. It also allows for those unfamiliar with the culture of Manual Arts to foster new relationships, and experience high school with like minded individuals.
